Local Cowboy’s, however, is much more than just a cycling tour company - we are deeply committed to uplifting local communities in Livingstone. Through various social initiatives, we focus on education, youth empowerment, environmental conservation, and community development, ensuring that tourism directly benefits the people who call this place home.

The bike tours are run as a social business to fundraise for the community school that offers affordable education to the underprivileged children.

The school was founded in 2004 to provide education to the many needy children and adults of this community. Many children cannot attend school because their parents cannot afford to support them, we are trying to give a chance to all.

By choosing to do this bicycle tour, you do not only get the chance to exercise, explore, learn and experience the real Africa, but you are also contributing to this important cause.

After the passing of Cliff in 2011, just 36 years old, his brother Oliver Sikatumba took over. Over the years, Local Cowboy has grown into a platform for positive social change, supporting underprivileged groups, creating job opportunities, and fostering sustainable tourism.
